6th September 2022! On what is now typically called a "Strate day", we happily entered into our Fifth year of operations.
Its been a long road, filled with ups and downs, and with covid throwing all plans out of the window. It has not been a easy journey by any means, but an enriching one for sure!
I joined Strate in 2018 at its inception, with the goal of building a unique forward thinking and value crating entity. The vision was (and is) to build long term value and treat design as a profession, keeping in mind the responsibility and power that it has in the world. This is easier dais than done, especially with the ever changing nature and perception of design itself. To add to that there are various stakeholders, changing scenarios, and of course the big one - Covid 19.
The early years of a school are similar to those of a baby. Each day is different and it adds o building qualities like personality culture and resilience. Every experience adds to foundation and makes the core stronger. and so many other qualities, through each experience.
It has been a challenging experience to navigate these waves (literally and figuratively) and I would like to express my gratitude to everyone involved in making Strate what it is today. The students , their parents, the academic team, support staff, management and all our well wishers. A big thank you to all our industry partners for helping us build a industry ready design space. Thank you all, and here's to many more years of Strate!
