This was a week long workshop to expose students to the product design stream. What does the field consist of? What aspect of the design process dies this field focus on? what is the role of a product designer and how is it changing? this and many other questions were explored in a hands on workshop.
This was done just as the Covid wave was hitting the western world, and we use the concept of Lipstick effect, to work on a new product launch / design for personal grooming. The logic being that with the on coming economic slowdown, people will spend more on smaller pleasures in life.
The students covered the design process, with scenario building, ideation, concept selection and pitch.
